BlaqPearl Return and Refund Policy

At BlaqPearl, we want you to see the world clearly and look great doing it. We strive to ensure you are completely satisfied with your eyewear. However, we understand that sometimes a frame just isn't the perfect fit.
This policy outlines our procedures for returns and refunds.
1. The "Perfect Fit" Guarantee (Returns Window)
We offer a 14-day return window from the date your order is delivered.
· Non-Prescription / Fashion Eyewear: You may return these items for a refund or exchange within 14 days, provided they are unworn, free of scratches, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.
· Prescription Eyewear: Please note that prescription lenses are custom-made specifically for your eyes. Therefore, under Section 42 of the ECTA, prescription lenses are non-refundable unless they are defective or incorrect due to a laboratory error.
o All prescriptions are professionally evaluated against the original prescription to ensure no errors occur. Should you not be happy with your vision on receipt of the final product, Please contact us immediately so we can check if a manufacturing error occurred.
2. How to Initiate a Return (PUDO Logistics)
We utilize The Courier Guy / PUDO for all our logistics to ensure a secure and trackable process.
Step 1: Log Your Return
Do not send items back without contacting us first. Email us at shop@blaqpearl.co.za with your Order Number and the reason for the return.
Step 2: Receive Your Waybill
Once your return is approved, we will generate a PUDO return waybill or PIN for you.
· Defective/Incorrect Items: We will cover the cost of the return courier.
· Change of Mind: A standard courier fee (approx. R60 - R80) will be deducted from your final refund amount.
Step 3: Drop Off
Pack the glasses securely in their original case and box to prevent damage. Deposit the package at your nearest PUDO locker using the details we provide.
3. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected at our facility:
· We will notify you via email of the approval or rejection of your refund.
· Approved Refunds: A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (e.g., credit card or EFT).
· Processing Time: Please allow 7–10 business days for the funds to reflect in your account, depending on your bank's processing times.
· Deductions: If the return was for a "change of mind," the cost of the return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
4. Sale Items
· Change of Mind: Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded for "change of mind," but may be exchanged for store credit at our discretion.
· Defects: Sale items that are found to be defective are fully returnable for a refund, repair, or replacement as per the CPA.
5. Exchanges
If you need to exchange a frame for a different colour or style, the fastest method is to return the original item for a refund (subject to the terms above) and make a separate purchase for the new item. This ensures you secure the new stock immediately.
